Sitting within our campus is our University Pre School for children aged two years nine months to four plus (or compulsory school age) is located in a residential area of the Cranfield campus surrounded by green open space. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our welcoming, diverse and highly respected Pre School which operates term time only. We are looking to appoint a Children’s Centre Senior Family Support Worker with a minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant field e.g. early years, childcare, health, social care or community development. Candidates must hold a full UK driving license and have a grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths. For this senior role, we are also looking for candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in a family support focussed position and for somebody with experience of developing and leading sessions for families, parents/carer, and children. The core purpose of the post is:

  • To work both individually and as part of a team in order to provide a mixture of individual and targeted group interventions for parents, carers, children and young people.
  • To help to transform the way in which families with children aged 0-5 gain access to and benefit from local services. B. From September 2019, all Children’s Centres within Central Bedfordshire will offer services to families with children up to the age of 12 years old.
